..a positive solution for you and your dog.

Kirsten Kraljevic CPDT

Kirsten is a graduate of St. Mary’s College in Maryland with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology. One of her college jobs was with the Montgomery County Md. Humane Society where she had to euthanize unwanted companion animals.

Working with the Humane Society began a lifelong journey for Kirsten to educate herself and others in the art and science of training and living with dogs as companions.

Beginning her career as a dog trainer over 12 years ago, Kirsten first learned more traditional methods which relied on equipment to restrain and make the dog uncomfortable. Kirsten found that many problems could not be solved with these methods and many dogs actually seemed to get worse. That’s when she began researching alternative methods for behavior modification.

Kirsten belongs to the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. APDT keeps her up to date on industry trends and provides a valuable network of other professional dog trainers, the first national certification for dog trainers in history. Kirsten believes in continuing education and has attended many seminars.

Kirsten is a dog book/video junkie and has amassed an extensive collection of books and videos on the most current trends in dog training and behavior.
